Politically, he previously served as Co-Treasurer of the Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party (Jubodal – BNP) in 2010. He is also associated with jubodal.com, through which more than 30,000 reports relating to BNP and Jubodal activities were reportedly received.

Due to politically fabricated cases, sustained threats, and serious risks to his family’s safety under the government of Sheikh Hasina, Mr. Dipu fled Bangladesh in 2018 and was subsequently granted political asylum in Germany.
